Memoráre
Fervente supplica alla Beata Vergine Maria nelle necessità, tradizionalmente attribuita a san Bernardo di Chiaravalle.
Memoráre, o piíssima Virgo María,
non esse audítum a sǽculo,
quemquam ad tua curréntem præsídia,
tua implorántem auxília, tua peténtem suffrágia,
esse derelíctum.
Ego tali animátus confidéntia,
ad te, Virgo Vírginum, Mater, curro,
ad te vénio, coram te gemens peccátor assísto.
Noli, Mater Verbi, verba mea despícere;
sed áudi propítia et exáudi.

Ricòrdati, o piissima Vergine Maria,
che non si è mai inteso al mondo
che alcuno sia ricorso alla tua protezione,
abbia invocato il tuo aiuto e chiesto il tuo patrocinio,
e sia stato abbandonato.
Animato da tale confidenza,
a te ricorro, o Vergine delle Vergini e Madre;
a te vengo, dinanzi a te mi prostro peccatore e pentito.
Non volere, o Madre del Verbo, disprezzare le mie preghiere;
ma ascoltami pietosa ed esaudiscimi.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence,
I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother;
to thee I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions;
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Tradizionalmente attribuita a san Bernardo di Chiaravalle (sec. XII), in forma definitiva è opera del sacerdote francese Claude Bernard († 1641), che la diffuse come «memoriale del santo abate».
